Principal Investigator: Dr. Somdeb Bose Dasgupta
Project Title: Harnessing the Drug Repurposing potential of LipoNor (Liposomal Norclomipramine) as a promising anti-leishmanial(DPL)
Tenure: 35 Months or the termination of the project, whichever is earlier.
Sponsorship: INDIAN COUNCIL OF MEDICAL RESEARCH (ICMR)(V.RAMALINGASWAMI BHAWAN,ANSARI NAGAR, POST BOX - 4911,NEW DELHI - 110029)
Qualification: First Class Post-graduate degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Nanobiotechnology, Life Sciences, or related fields from a recognized Institution/University OR PhD in Life Sciences, Biotechnology. For Master’s degree holders minimum 3 years of research experience encompassing development of liposomal drug delivery systems, drug encapsulation and/or Leishmania culture, mice/hamster infection with Leishmania, estimation of parasite load, drug treatment and drug efficiency testing while for PhD applicants research work encompassing the above experience.
Relevant Experience: Proficiency in liposome synthesis mechanisms, drug encapsulation and characterization methods such as HPLC, DLS, zeta potential analysis, SEM, TEM and spectrophotometry. o Experience in handling Leishmania, cell-based assays, or in vivo mice infection studies, histological slide preparation and analysis is an advantage. o Familiarity with sterile techniques, animal handling, and biochemical assays. o Experience in writing project reports, grant proposals, and technical documentation. o Good communication and teamwork skills
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 35 years.
Fellowship: Upto Rs.56000(depending upon qualification & experience)
