Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (IIT BHU) invites applications from Indian nationals only for Project Research Scientist - I position in the DEPARTMENT OF CERAMIC ENGINEERING purely on a contract basis.

Position:  Project Research Scientist - I

Title of the Project: Development of Doped-Zirconia Coating on Titanium Surface for Dental Implant Application

Tenure:  Three Years. Initially the appointment will be made for one year and extendable up to three years on performance basis

Minimum Qualification: Postgraduate (M. Tech./M. Sc.) with GATE or CSIR-NET qualification. Minimum 60% or equivalent CGPA in the preceding degrees. \

Desirable qualifications: Candidates with experience in materials and proficiency in characterization techniques such as XRD, SEM, TEM, Raman, FTIR, etc., along with relevant experience in biological experiments, will be given preference. Additionally, research experience of one or more years in the relevant field will be considered an advantage.

Fellowship:  56,000 (consolidated) + HRA (as per the GOI rules)

Age Limit: The upper age limit is 35 Years. Age relaxation is applicable as per the GOI rules.

  • The PI has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualification and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.  
Note: The candidate may have the chance to pursue a Ph.D. in Ceramic Engineering while serving as a Project Research Scientist - I (Non-Medical) in the Ceramic Engineering Department at IIT (BHU) Varanasi.
