IIT Ropar invites applications for Post Doctoral Fellow Position

    

                                                    

Indian Institute of Technology Ropar invites applications from Indian nationals for the Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) position in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering purely on a contract basis.

Position:  Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) 

Title of project: Reflective clear coats for glass facades to reduce interior temperature of the building
 
Sponsor of the project: SBLindustrial grant

Principal Investigator: Dr. Neha Sardana, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, and Dr. Sarang Gumfekar, Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Ropar.

Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in Science or Engineering, with the relevant area of Materials fabrication and testing.

Desired Qualifications: Candidates with research experience and a strong background in antireflective/IR coatings, nanofabrication, coatings, characterization, and analysis will be given preference. 

Duration: Initially, the PDF position will be offered for a period of one year. Based on the performance of the candidate, it can be further extended for up to one more year or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

Job description: Optimization of UHPC mix designs, analysis of mechanical properties, and evaluation of performance parameters for building applications. Responsibilities include experimental testing, data analysis, report preparation, overall co-ordination ofthe project and other work as assigned by the principal investigators.

Emoluments: The selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of Rs 58,000/- per month plus HRA as per GOI norms if he/she is not staying on campus.

Upper Age Limit: 35 years (Relaxation as per GOI norms is applicable).
