IIT Gandhinagar (IITGN), India invites applications for Post Doctoral Fellow position

                                      


Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications from Indian nationals for the Post Doctoral Fellow position in the Department of Mathematics, purely on a contract basis.

Principal Investigator (PI): Prof. Abhinav Jha

Postdoctoral position in the area: Numerical Analysis of Partial Differential Equations and Scientific Computing.

Essential Qualification: The applicant should have:

  • A Ph.D. degree in a relevant subject, such as Numerical Analysis or High-erformance Computing.
  • A strong background in Finite Element Analysis, Programming, or Analysis of PDEs.
  • Candidates who have submitted their thesis in the mentioned fields are equally eligible.

Apart from research, the applicant will be expected to contribute to other academic activities of the Institute, including teaching.

Duration: The appointment is for one year, with the possibility of extension for another year based on performance.

Fellowship amount: Rs 72,000 (Consolidated salary)
