NIT Kurukshetra invites applications for Regular Faculty Positions at various Departments

                                                          

The National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra invites online applications from Indian Nationals, possessing excellent academic records along with commitment to quality teaching and research, for the posts of Associate Professor (Level-13A2) in its various Departments/Disciplines.

# For the Departments which are not having any vacancies, movement in Higher Academic Grade Pay or cadre will be carried out as per the specified selection process but restricted to only serving faculty members of the respective departments, as per Schedule ‘E’ of NIT Statutes amended 2017 and 2023.
 
Essential Qualification: Ph.D.

Essential Requirements: Six years after Ph.D. of which at least three years at the level of Assistant Professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 8000; Or Nine years total working experience, of which three years should be after Ph.D., with at least three years at the level of Assistant Professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 8000.

Eligibility: 

(i) Engineering Department: First class at the UG and PG levels (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA) with a Ph.D. in a relevant branch/discipline. Candidates having Ph.D. degrees directly after graduation (B.E./B.Tech. etc.) from reputed Institutes/Universities will also be considered if other conditions are fulfilled. 

(ii) Science/Humanities and Social Sciences Department: First class at the UG and PG levels (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA) with a Ph.D. and relevant discipline. 

(iii) Department of Business Administration: First class at the UG and PG levels (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA) with a Ph.D. in relevant discipline. 

(iv) Department of Computer Applications: First class at the UG and PG levels (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA) with a Ph.D. in relevant discipline. 

(v) Architecture and Planning discipline: First class at the UG and PG levels (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA) in relevant discipline.

HOW TO APPLY:
  1. The candidates need to apply online in the online recruitment portal of the Institute website: www.nitkkr.ac.in. Candidates should click on the online application link, read the instructions carefully, and fill in the online application form giving accurate information. If the online application is not successfully completed, the candidate is required to register again. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected. 
  2. No request with respect to change in any data entered by the candidate will be entertained once the online application is submitted successfully. While applying online, the candidate needs to upload a scanned copy of their recent passport-size color photograph & signature. In case the candidate is called for a personal interview, he/she will be required to produce his/her original certificates and other relevant documents as mentioned in the online application form. 
  3. The hard copy of the online application along with self-attested photocopies of all the documents in support of the information given by the candidate in their online application should reach the Registrar, National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra-136119 (Haryana) by post. The name of the post applied for should be superscribed on the envelope used for sending the hard copy of the application. No manual/paper application will be entertained directly unless registered and applied online. 
  4. All pages of the hard copy of the application must be numbered and signed by the applicant. The total number of pages in the application form must be written on the first page of the application form along with an index. All the supporting documents must also be self-attested.
  5.  It may be noted that a candidate’s application only in soft copy will not be entertained and will be rejected summarily if the hard copy of the application form along with other requisite self-attested photocopies of the relevant documents is not received at the Institute. 
  6. After submission of the form, the payment gateway will open for payment of fee. Follow the instructions carefully for payment of a fee. Without payment of the fee, application will not be accepted/ considered, unless exempted.
Check-list of documents to be submitted along with the hard copy of the application: 

1. Printout of online Application duly signed on each page along with an index.

2. Self-Attested copies of all certificates and mark sheets from SSC/HSC/Matriculation onwards. 

3. Self-Attested copies of any other relevant certificates/testimonials. 

4. Self-Attested Copies of Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) and certificate for PwBD etc. as per Govt. of India norms. In the case of OBC category candidates, the latest non-creamy layer Certificate is essential. 

5. Self-Attested copies of experience Certificates issued by the Competent Authorities.

  • Opening date of online submission of application. : 28.10.2024 
  • Closing date of online submission of application form: 13.12.2024 up to 11:59 p.m. 
  • Last date of receipt of hard copy of application along with requisite documents: 20.12.2024 up to 05:30 p.m.
