Job Description: Two Postdoctoral Fellow positions are available in the MUSE Lab with Prof. Himanshu Shekhar’s group at IIT Gandhinagar. The postdocs will develop image reconstruction techniques for ultrasound imaging. Specifically, the postdoctoral fellows will develop and validate algorithms for ultrasound image reconstruction. These positions will enable the fellows to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. This project is focused on solving real-world problems and has relevance to the industry. The applicants must be self-motivated, independent, and deeply interested in imaging and signal-processing research. The fellows will receive training in ultrasound imaging and characterization along with career guidance. IIT Gandhinagar provides a vibrant academic atmosphere and opportunities for career growth.
Eligibility: Candidates must hold a PhD. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related fields, from recognized institutions/universities, with a consistently good (1st Division or higher) academic record (class 10 onwards). Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting their defense may also apply. The candidate must have experience in programming and data analysis in MATLAB along with excellent communication skills. Experience in imaging and/or signal processing is needed. Experience in nondestructive imaging, array signal processing, beamforming, and image processing will be an added plus but is not mandatory.
Fellowship: Rs. 72,000 per month (consolidated). The position also provides a yearly professional development allowance.
