IIT Hyderabad invites applications for Post-Doctoral Fellow position

 

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY HYDERABAD invites applications from Indian nationals only for Post-Doctoral Fellow position under the Sponsored Project at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

Position:  Post-Doctoral Fellow

Principal Investigator: Dr. Anirban Naskar

Co-PI: Dr. Chandra Prakash

Title of the Project: Experimentally validated multi-scale modeling framework for grinding-induced subsurface deformation of single Crystal Ni-base Superalloy (CMSX-4)

Minimum Qualifications: Ph. D. in Mechanical/Aerospace/Manufacturing/Production/Materials Engineering or Allied Areas

Desirable Qualifications:

• Expertise in crystal plasticity-based finite element modeling and simulations. 

• Hands-on experience with computational modeling of manufacturing processes. 

• Proficiency in C++/Fortran coding. 

• Experience with open-source or commercial FE packages

Fellowship:  Rs. 58,000 per month (No HRA will be provided)

3. Ph. D. Thesis abstract with 2 best publications.

**The PI will evaluate and shortlist the applications received every 15 days until suitable candidates are selected.

Important Notes: 

• The PI will shortlist candidates and the selection committee based on eligibility and fit for the advertised position. 

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online interview. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email about the interview date and time. 

• Candidates with prior relevant experience will be given preference. Joining will be immediate after selection. 

 • The position will be kept open if no suitable candidate is found.
