Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) Surat was established by the
Government of India by an Act of Parliament, offering undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG),
and doctoral programs in engineering, technology, and the sciences. The institute invites
applications for the post of Teaching Assistant (purely on an ad-hoc basis) in the mathematics department.
ELIGIBILITY/QUALIFICATION:
1. 1st Class or an equivalent CGPA (Min 6.5 on a scale of 10) in both
M.Sc. for Mathematics and M.Phil. with Good Academic Record.
2. Ph. D. (in appropriate branch) with Good Academic Record with first
class or an equivalent CGPA (Min 6.5 on the scale of 10) in M.Sc.
(Mathematics).
Scale of Pay:
1. 45000/- (Fixed) for non-Ph. D candidate.
2. 60,000/- (Fixed) for Ph. D candidate.
Mode of Selection: Walk-in Interview
The candidate is requested to remain present with a filled application in the prescribed form (available on the institute website) only along with original supporting documents such as degree certificates, semester-wise marks sheets, experience certificates, testimonials, etc., and one set of self-attested copy of the
same documents at 9:30 am in the department of Mathematics on 10th July 2024
(Mathematics).
