National Institute of Technology Raipur invites applications from Indian nationals for the Research Associate (RA)-I under ARDB (DRDO) funded project purely on a contract basis.

Position:  Research Associate (RA)-I

Principal Investigator: Dr. Raj Kumar Sahu (rksahu.mech@nitrr.ac.in)

Funding Agency: Aeronautics R&D Board, DRDO, Ministry of Defense 

Title of The Project: Design and Development of Self-Healing Polymer Nanocomposite Pressure Sensors for Aerospace Applications

Tenure of Project:  3 Years

Essential Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering/ Polymer Science. 
OR 
  • Three years of research experience after M.E./MTech. (in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ or equivalent) with at least two research papers in SCI or other reputed journals.
Preferrable/ Desirable: Experience in design, development, and characterization of polymer nanocomposite.

Fellowship:  

  • 58000 + 18 % HRA (per month)

Instructions:

1. The above position is purely temporary, and the continuation of the fellowship is subject to satisfactory performance after each year. 

2. Candidates are required to appear in the interview with a (1) set of Xerox of the relevant documents, (2) two passport-size photographs, (3) curriculum vitae, and (4) an application form in the prescribed format (as attached). 

3. No TA/DA is permissible to attend the interview. 

4. Selected candidates will not be allowed to claim any regular/part-time position at the institute or any other institution during this period. 

5. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate and the appointment shall be co-terminus with the project.
